We started Soul Reparations out of a love for spiritual formation and call to racial justice. As the racial climate in our country continues to escalate with violence towards Women of Color, we saw the need and felt compelled to respond with reparations that are in line with our call to the ministry of spiritual direction.
Meeting with dozens of Women of Color over the years we have had a chance to walk with directees as they suffer the pain of racial trauma, systemic racism, and try to reclaim their faith from oppressive systems. It has become more and more evident that spiritual direction is a significant place for their souls to breathe, to heal, and reclaim their God-given dignity and belovedness. We want to see Women of Color flourish and bring their gifts to the world as God intended. But reparations for their souls are needed: spiritual direction for Women of Color BY Women of Color spiritual directors. We have served over 200 Women of Color over the last 3 years! Would you partner with us in providing reparations for the souls of Women of Color?Your support provides reparations in two major ways:
1. It enables us to compensate Women of Color spiritual directors with an honoring wage for their ministry. 2. Provides free spiritual direction for over 50 Women of Color each month.
